After years of doing holiday segments you would think that we’ve heard it all, but it’s amazing how our experts always find something new or some helpful hint that even amazes us. For example, Colleen Burn, also known as the Mom On The Run, showed us some hot holiday gift ideas and shared some of her secrets for making the season less hectic and less expensive. One of the ideas she came up with for choosing the right gift for the techy on your list but still staying within a budget is to buy accessories for their electronics instead of the gadgets themselves. Brilliant! It’s a lot less expensive to get someone an iPod cover or some cool new earplugs than it is to buy them a new iPod, and they’re going to love getting it. Just like with clothes, the accessories can make the gift!!!!

It’s officially the holiday season, so here at Vidicom we’ve been busy helping people get a leg up on shopping and entertaining in style. Just last week we had lifestyle expert and TV personality Sissy Biggers show viewers some easy ways to plan for a party without breaking your budget or your back. She showed us how to make some yummy rum punch, rum cake, a rack of lamb that smelled heavenly, and even appetizers using the new George Foreman Grill that promises to make everything easier and less time consuming. Then of course don’t forget the entertainment. With the Zune media player you can get what they call a Zune Pass that lets you download unlimited songs for just $14.99 for the month. Now that’s a bargain. So you won’t feel guilty downloading all the holiday songs that you only listen to once a year. We posted all this information including the recipes on our website www.stylewiz.com.
We’ve also been busy little elves looking for great stocking stuffer finds and easy gifts the whole family can enjoy, but I’ll have to update you on that next time.
