I think American fashion flocks love Lanvin because it’s easy, modern and packs well. The best is the draping. Designer Alber Elbaz is one designer who sculpts with ample bodies in mind. He says he know what it is like to be heavy. Here he is after his Spring 2011 show in Paris:

Tory, Tory, Tory…OMG, you’re doing shoulder pads! I know you wanted to give us the ’70s vibe your way and that you did. It turns out you’re one of the few who have pulled off this shoulder look and made it modern. The ’70s were all over with the peasant blouses, crocheted sweaters, even the longer skirts and wider pant leg. What is great about your Spring 2011 offering is the color…who doesn’t love orange?
